The nose is very beautiful, it gets watery in the mouth and the wood notes take over too fast, the finish is almost only wood, and much too much of it. Too bad, but with the Doublewood 17 I just do not get warm. There is much better for a cheaper price.
    • Nose
fragrant-sweet-intense-harmonious, vanilla, honey, a lot of dark chocolate sauce, biscuits, beautiful soft woody notes, light orange + lemon, honeycombs, powdered sugar, warm apple pie, apple juice, ginger, after a while fruity with pineapple and plums, mint
    • Taste
silky, watery, orange, lemon, ginger, pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, espresso, getting sharper, vanilla crisps, strong roasted hazelnuts, the bittern notes are getting stronger, black tea
    • Finish
spicy and burning, espresso, pepper, burnt toast, light mint

The scent of apricots and freshly cut wood catches your nose at the first introduction. Banana too, dried tropical fruit. The taste is soft, sweet without being too sweet, with a spicy edge. This one is very tasty. In the aftertaste a pleasant combination of bitter and sour. The finish is long, warm, satisfying, with some faint dark chocolate and sweet tobacco. Topper.

A wonderfully harmonious, soft and mild single malt that "should" please everyone.
Not cheap at around 95 €, but you get a very pleasing Speysider.
    Unfortunately colored!

    • Nose
Typical Balvenie honeyed vanilla. A little aldehyde, apple, pear. Reserved. Sweet honey. Milk chocolate, fudge
    • Taste
A little sharp, more oaky. The smell does not really translates into the palate for me.
    • Finish
Much more oaky than on the nose
