- This is not as good as I remember but there has been a big gap since the last bottle. Is it because I am a lot more experienced and a bit more demanding or has it dipped a bit. Either way it's still a fine dram.
First thing I get is fresh cooked ham, rusty nails, rotten wood, the workings of an old record player, an empty sea shell, sun dried tomatoes and some sort of citrus.
Liquorice pipe, red onion, smoked kippers and again the citrus comes through. Heavy on the peat as you expect but it's very palatable, slightly metallic but that's okay.
A long toasted finish with some medicinal tones on the death.
