  1. MY MALTS scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

    Very smoky ... Is subtly fruity by the addition of water, but remains strong smoky ... In time, he is actually creamier ... Smoke "Nideltäfeli" ...

  2. GlenSikkes did not rate this whisky Connoisseur

    Notes by Adelphi;

    1 of only 3746 bottles
    A specially selected 10 cask batch from a single Island distillery, this highlights the best of the West – “ship’s haven”, Fascadale lies on the north-west point of the rugged, and timeless, Ardnamurchan peninsula. Its hidden, pebbled beach looks West and North towards the islands of Eigg, Rum, Muck and Skye. Whispered tales of smuggling abound…

  3. Roel scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

    No so often you get the chance to try a Talisker in the wild. Even when it is of the same good quality as the OB 10 yo, it is nevertheless worth the price premium as it shows a less peppery Talisker. Of course I tried it in a line up with other Taliskers. It's a fine dram. Recommended.

    T: salt, cranberries and blackberries and sun flower
    F: marsh mellows, custard, smoked ham, briny and iron

    a large pinch of rock salt and a good dose of chilli pepper and
    licorice.

  6. Sonett scored this whisky 75 points Connoisseur

    This whisky is lacking in taste and nose, still it is a very enjoyable dram inviting for a second and a third........
    • Nose
      A fresh and young nose with apples and pears. There is also a hint of oily new make.
    • Taste
      Enters with a sweet taste slowly changing to mild peaty spices
    • Finish
      Keeping the very mild nose and taste it has a surprisingly long finish with spices, peat followed by more spices
