  1. Syleo scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

Intense fruit-sweetness combine with an oily spice to form a very tasty example of Taiwanese turbo ripening. Unfortunately, the taste and especially the finish of a musty film of moldy wood settles on the palate, which unfortunately spoils the enjoyment - certainly a positive experience for friends of strong, concise maturations, for me personally not quite balanced enough.
    • Nose
      93 93
A deep dark, reddish mahogany brown releases a strong, dark fruit note in the nose. Warm molasses, well-sweetened warm plum compote with cream come to mind, ripe bananas, figs and forest honey, blackberries and mandarins with dark fudge or rum-grape-nut chocolate - and something spicy-malty: licorice and black bread, beeswax and a light hint of rubber, freshly cut grass, roses and a few licorice pretzels in salt.
    • Taste
      90 90
Tangerine, orange peel and raisins greet the tongue with fruity and bite, liquorice and malt are back and come together in Bavarian malt throat candies. The nutty-meaty-grassy-spicy note continues with the forest honey, waxy liquorice and rose petals, in the background some staves of damp, even slightly moldy wood shimmer through.
    • Finish
      78 78
Bavarian malt with its spiciness, sweetness, maltiness and a slight burn create a pleasant bitterness of chocolate with a high cocoa content in the finish, a little fruit compote and orange peel can still be guessed with a little beeswax. But then a rather musty wood modern film sits on the palate, which unfortunately unfortunately clouds the memory - only a next sip helps, because nosing and tasting are very tasty examples of the Taiwanese turbo ripening.
