    Correct complex Springbank.
    • Nose
Vanilla, salted caramel, exotic fruits, hazelnut, marzipan and a touch of smoke.
    • Taste
Oily, creamy. Waxy fruits, salted caramel, vanilla, pepper. More oak and smoke than the nose.
    • Finish
      Long, smoky, spicy.

  2. Kermel scored this whisky 95 points Member Senior

Great. Vanilla tones with fruity - real strawberries - tones. Sloight smoke. Oily in the taste, still enough fruits, salty caramel
    • Nose
Vanilla, caramel, red fruits - strawberries. Slightly smoky
    • Taste
Oily, salted cramel, vanilla, fruity, smoky
    • Finish

Fruits, wood, a little horseradish, and an interesting peppery note. Not bad.

      Long, mouth-watering, salty, chocolate, espresso,

    • Nose
Vanilla, citrus fruits mixed with delicately dosed salt

      Again citrus ginger slightly peppery

Medium length with citrus fruits and a delicate bitterness with a breeze of salt

  7. lapinbilly did not rate this whisky Expert Senior

A little disappointed by the lack of complexity but a good whisky.
    • Nose
A fruity and slightly peaty nose.
    • Taste
The palate is spicy, peppery, a slight vegetable peat.
    • Finish
A long finish, between pepper and peat.

[December, 2013]  I found this dram in a commercial advents calendar.  In
my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50
    - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 85.  I
took no detailed notes and never bought a commercial advents calender
    again.

Still a quality dram, right up my street
    • Nose
Nutty caramel with a little salt thrown in. Hints of dark orange liqueur, freshly sawn wood
    • Taste
Full on the palate, creamy and fizzy on candies peels, hint of vanilla but its in the background, faint apple, saltwater
    • Finish
Decent medium length and mouth coating.
