I would have to assume this is also based on a 6 times distillate. Leaving very little or close to nothing of anything but faint cask flavours.
This really doesn't work for me.
Soft, shy and closed.
Little sweetness, with some vanilla.
Red currant, hint of apple, and some banana.
Unlike the Amarone the banana does not get stuck in your nose.
Really strugling to find anything, have to be the least fragrant whisky of the year.
I guess in this case nothing bad is good?
Arrives sweet with a quite nice sherry note.
Chocolate covered raisins.
Sweetness grows to an almost queasy level, then just like the Amarone turning slightly artificial with a weird "soapy" note.
Short and eventless.
With that queasy sweetness sticking a bit I wished it was even shorter.
