Signatory Vintage was founded by Andrew and Brian Symington in 1988. In 1992 the company enlarged and moved from the original location to Edinburgh. A small bottling plant was built there. Signatory established to one of the three biggest independent bottlers of single malt whisky within a few years. Until 1998, Brian Symington was co-owner but left the company then. In July 2002 Signatory Vintage bought Edradour Distillery in the Highlands and - in 2007 - moved their head office from Edinburgh to Pitlochry. Signatory is present in the world wide web with a 'USA'-site.
