Lough Gill Distillery

Lough Gill Distillery began releasing whisky under its own label before its in-house production was fully matured, operating in the role of an independent bottler. Early expressions were issued under the Athrú brand and consisted of sourced single malts from unnamed Irish distilleries, often finished in wine casks. These limited releases served as a prelude to the distillery’s own spirit, highlighting its focus on cask selection and branding. The bottling phase concluded after the company was acquired by Sazerac in 2022 and rebranded as Hawk’s Rock Distillery.
