The Highlander Inn
The Highlander Inn is in the centre of the village of Craigellachie, Speyside, the heart of Scotland's Malt Whisky Trail.
With 5 en-suite bedrooms in the main building as well as an additional 2 houses just 35 metres from the main building, whisky bar, "club room", outdoor patio, lounge, and private, off-street parking, it truly is a great little place to stay when visiting this wonderful part of Scotland. They are open all year, and have a warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere; a really cosy, hospitable "home from home".
Recognised as one of Scotland's best known "Village Inns" and a truly international "hot spot" for whisky tourism.
Awarded Gold Bar status by the readers of Whisky Magazine and one of the top 51 Whisky Bars in the world for 2010, 2011, and 2012.

We stayed here for 2 nights and took advantage of the Special Offer for Whisky Enthusiasts. £50 per night with Breakfast and £50 a night free whisky. I was with my wife so I had £100 a night to spend on whisky. We had a great time, Some great whiskies , good food, nice rooms and staff and owner very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to whisky. We took a walk over to the Craigellachie Hotel, They have an even bigger selection of whisky but at 2x the price.
I would highly recommend the Highlander Inn, They have some great whiskies to try
Smaller than what I was expecting but they had a good selection but all the best stuff (and most expensive) was long gone.
I liked the atmosphere here but the selection of whisky at the refurbished Craigellachie Hotel was much better.
Great bar, horrible rooms. Go for a drink there, sleep somewhere else!
My second visit was probably better than the first. The food was already pretty good, but has become noticeably better now that they have a new chef. The bar is great, super selection.
