Quick review, small WB sample bottle.
18YO is still quite young for a grain.
This got cask strength going for it, or maybe it would have been better to share some of the ABV with the angels for a few more years.

The Invergordon profile is there, but the relative young age (for a grain) is noticeable in a lack of depth and richness.
Vanilla shortbread, chocolate cream, sour apple, tiny citric zest.
Water seems to bring out more fruit and sweetness.
    • Taste

Quite spicy arrival... and going up from there.
Not too hot to drink neat, but since everything else is over powered it make it feel unbalanced.
Water calms it down nicely, but leaves you with a generic young grain without much personality to present.
    • Finish
      79 79
Short, or with the dominating spice fading quickly at least it feels very short.
Here as well it seems to improve with water. It feels longer, but brings nothing new.
