Whisky Reviews for Hazelburn 10-year-old

- Again and again I am fascinated by this whisky. I like to drink it myself, but I also offer it to a whisky beginner. The quality of being accessible and persistently convincing at the same time is something special. It is more than affordable, too (~ 45 €). Thanks to Springbank. Hints of green apple, a bit leather, a bit tabacco maybe, just decent and pretty okay, not very special
Smooth in the beginning, later a bit peppery... But also smooth, a bit sweet hints of vanilla, a bit nutty...
hard to describe, bit i like it.
Midlong, hints of leather in the beginning, soon replaced by a bit honey, vannila.

The Hazelburn 10yo surprised me in the good way! It was 3 years ago -at least- I tried it. This time it was much fruitier and balanced then I thought it was. But there are still some rough edges round it. At the the end of the taste also a bit alcohol vapor. Still a good dram for the price!
Sweet, fruity, orange fruit, some alcohol vapor (only in het beginning of the dram)
Sweet, fruity, orange fruit emerge, malt
Sweet, less fruity, more alcohol vapor, some light wood influences, ends after a while demi sec
