  1. dramspotter scored this whisky 65 points Connoisseur

Mystery tasting: seems to have not spent a great deal of time in wood. It doesn't appear to be much in the way of Scottish character, so may well be from further afield
    • Nose
rough, offputting rawness; it is more like a grape spirit
    • Taste
thin to start then a queer tang starts
    • Finish
      medium; rather puckering and bitter

  2. Blindbob scored this whisky 83 points Expert Junior

Impressed with the progress of Puni. It tastes like whisky. I still get a faint taste of bananas in this one like the Alba. Wild berries and a bit of a dry aftertaste. Stands a drop of water to calm the alcohol. Well worth a go.

Wine, grapes, grapefruit, cherries, raisins, plums, blueberries, maggi, brown sugar and honey.

Interesting and thoroughly enjoyable entrance on the malt whisky scene by Italy’s first whisky distillery.
    • Nose
Antiseptic, spent fireworks, salty licorice. After a while there is sweet pear compote and prunes.
    • Taste
      Hethery-herbal arrival, rosemary, 3-day-old bread.
    • Finish
Medium. Savory herbs, spearmint, and dried apricots and ginger.

If that was a little rounder, that would be the absolute top material. Here I am looking forward to the next years.
    • Nose
Plum jam, blueberry, a very light sulfurous smell, there could be some smoke, at least the initial plums are always burned, a bit mossy
    • Taste
Again forest fruits at the beginning, blueberry, the plums are again rather thin and very light sparkling, light cinnamon note
    • Finish
Again, the slight smell of sulfur, then really thick forest fruits from it - strong, this will get a little oak with, medium-length finish
