Do you ever get the feeling when you take the first sip of a whisky you let your hand fall on the table, rolling your eyes, thinking "how can it be this well-made" ? Ok, granted, I'm partial towards these kinds of malt, I think they're criminally underrated. So take all that with a grain of salt. But in all subjectivity, I do believe that this is worth 91 full points.  Found it better than the ALOS by a fair margin, except on the nose maybe (the ALOS was more complex). l hope Bladnoch will be remembered at some point as something that once was strangely overlooked, while it was actually amazing. Thanks Yomimita for the sample : I bought my bottle right after it.
    • Nose
Excellent fresh pear note then going on lemon wine gum (spot on Ruben !). Yellow fruitiness with some fresh white cheese, jasmine, elderberries, yellow peach. Then the citrusy side starts to take off with lemon and lime mostly but in sweeter guise, like the liqueurs made thereof. So, Limoncello ? Some kind of fresh Chartreuse even ? Some more mineral touches, shea butter, nivea cream. It's superb, coherent, and fresh.
    • Taste
Ok I'm out, ciao. Seriously Serge said the arrival was exceptional and it's nothing short of exceptional indeed. In a split second it displays all its sublime arsenal, in one paradisiac movement. Tons of fresh limes, slate, elderberries, white grapes, lilac, watermelon, cucumber, lavender, sage, and that trademark mint green tea. God what an arrival. It doesn't evolve much after that but it actually couldn't get much better anyway. Some waxy touches as well.
    • Finish
Still that dry minerality (is that how the sherry speaks in this dram ? I don't find any other sherry markers), green apples cider, leafier and slightly bitterer, but for the better. Some lime and mint leaf though, making for a perfectly clean departure.

This is not suited to my palate but there are flashes of quality in there, but there is little balance that I can detect, what I mean by that is that everything flavour wise is fighting against each other to be heard rather than complimenting each other and the overall flavour profile
    • Nose
Not something I usually like, it smells thin and winey. There are some definite flat cider notes, apple, plum and a little chemical note.
There also seems to be some black pepper and possibly some ginger.

I cannot decide whether I like it, the jury is out on this one?
    • Taste
Spirity and slightly rough at first but there is a nice fruit gum/fruit salad note that more than makes up for it.

This lacks balance for me there is plenty of fruit which I like but the sherry has an off note that is hard to describe.

      Finally some nice cake notes.
    • Finish
The finish is quite long but by now I have lost interest, the overall profile is not for me.

Interesting Bladnoch, pleasantly fruity and spicy.
    • Nose
Chewing gum, all-fruits, punch, sherry, pear and coconut milk.
    • Taste
Powerful and spicy. Matured oak. Coconut, pepper and ginger, green tea and waxy fruits.
    • Finish
      Long, fruity, spicy.
