    Official Notes by Cadenhead:

Nose : Heather, salted popcorn, pears, slight butter and biscuity tone, lime zest and chestnuts

Taste : The citrus continues, cream sponge, pouring honey, marzipan and walnuts

Finish : Salted caramel, brown sugar, butter and clotted cream

In retrospect, I've looked into the Notes booklet of Cadenhead and there he is described as salty in the nose and mouth. Yes - that's still missing. There is always a light, pleasant saltiness here.
    • Nose
Let's start with caramelized flower honey, which is carried by light smoke. The floral character of Highland Park is very broad and mature. After a long while, gummy bears come to light. Over time, he becomes sweeter and sweeter. And that always remains a mix of malt, floral notes and this absolutely interwoven smoke.
    • Taste
The smoke is omnipresent although it is absolutely light and supports the light lemon note, which does not come sour. But he is in every nuance. The mouthfeel is nice malty sweet and creamy.
    • Finish
It remains an eternal sweetness. As the smoke is very light, it disappears quickly. The memory of the balance between nose and mouth but holds, so you get a little back after every smacking.

Citric, peach, candy, vanilla, malty, balsamic. Medium complexity, good balance, with pronounced intensity.
    • Taste
      91 91
Peach, citric, a bit peppery, violets. Warming, creamy, honey sweetness, balanced. Pressure could be a little more.
    • Finish
      91 91
Orange, white pepper. Balanced, medium to long finish

A rather maritime HP, I could imagine that this could have stayed longer in the cask as it is still very powerful - very good
    • Nose
Malty, lemony, sea breeze, fruity, appples, pears, hints of vanilla and smoke
    • Taste
Punchy, oily, waxy, citrusy, lemony and pears again, subtle sweetness, hints of oak, little smoky, salty, just little buttery to the extent that I still like
    • Finish
Long and burning, just little zesty in the end
