Whisky Reviews for Teaninich 2008 GM
6 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 78.70 points
- A whisky that you do not have to drink but can drink. The bitter almond / Mirabelle note holds however surprisingly long.
Very light on the nose, slightly alcoholic, cereals, slightly fruity (mirabelle?).
Malty in the mouth, light bitterness, some fruit.
Departure then a light sweet, the mirabelle again say hello and a bitter conclusion.
- Tasted as part of a lineup of four Teaninichs.
yes, the sherry comes, but also some of the bourbon as well, but the overall impression is of some refill sherry due to the dilution
so soft in the mouth
short->medium; what is that? Shoe polish. Woody perhaps - that is a queer effect. Not getting that hogshead vibe. More a roughness of spirit
- Not a bad Teaninich at all. Lacks only in years and cask influence.
Concerning price/performance ratio: 7/10
Fruits, some sherry, some raisins, way in the back some figs, light vanilla.
Dry sherry, spices, salted raisins.
Rather short. Spicy licorice.
- N: Just like an Inchgower i currently have open at home - its a light-oaked, raisin-distillate led.
T: Same, distillate-led raisins.
F: Malty raisins [again like Inchgower], on the finish.
C: A sherry style i like. Thanks for the recommendation Alex [master quill]. Blog
