#0210 CONNEMARA ORIGINAL PEATED SINGLE MALT IRISH Whiskey 40%.
... If you reject the tasting activities and just focus on, for example, watching a film, CONNEMARA PEATED is ok, but let's not look for something that isn't there. Once again, a drinkable Irish whiskey, ordinary only with the addition of a really tiny bit of peat. If you've already stood/ you have become the owner of a green bottle, it certainly will not go to waste. That's all and that much.
    • Nose
... malty, quite fresh, some "green" - herbal/vegetable. ….looking for peat….looking for….looking for…didn't they add it or what? A drop of heather honey, a bit of meadow climate, flowers, cornflowers etc… wet earth, read "muddy" - maybe that's the "peaty" subtext?. From the empty one blows a slice of artificially smoked ham literally with smoke like from a match that was just put out, some grease or engine oil?!. We return to the filled one: herbal-honey candies with the addition of sage, maybe a mint leaf…..and I think that's all. Aromas not very complicated and somehow not very distinctive.
    • Taste
... the first moment is the impression that someone has poured too much water. Then sweet, a bit bitter, a bit warm and here the peat is already noticeable. Sweetish, honeyed. It's a bit strange, because the first impression is a watered down drink, and at the same time it leaves a thin oily "filter" on the tongue. Second sip: nothing changes, rather flat, more pepper, more wooden atmospheres. A bit of herbalism. Is that really all?
    • Finish
... thin, slightly oily with peat undertones, it lasts a while but this lasting is as if a grain of pepper got lost somewhere in there and lets you know it's there.
