About Cooley

Cooley Distillery was established in 1987 by John Teeling. Located in County Louth, it became known for reintroducing double-distilled single malts and peated styles at a time when these were rare in Ireland. The distillery also revived older brands like Kilbeggan and expanded the range of Irish whisky available, quietly reshaping Irish distilling.
