Whisky Reviews for Glenfarclas 21-year-old
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 86.50 points
- Very reasonable drink for this price. Expected a little more "oemph" for the 21 years.
A stimulating tingling feeling in the nose. Fruitiness combined with the smell of the menthol cigarettes many years ago. (Don't know if they're still around?) It's rather a strong smell in the nose than a complex one.
Nice and pleasant combination of wood tones with a fruity sweetness and a little vanilla topping. Sherry aroma's coming up but not drying out. Quite some butter and cream is next with a good shot of pepper in it followed with a little salt.
Good medium finish, warm, sweet and nutty. Salt on the lips at the very end.
