Whisky Reviews for Springbank 15-year-old

- This is a Springbank?!? Never had one that's so consensual and smooth before. The sherry has really rounded off the edges. The 46% feel more like 43. In many ways, this one reminded me of contemporary Bowmores, with its soft smoke, deep sherry and rich, fudgy, leathery sweetness. Not what I expected, falls almost into the easy drinking category. If you like your malts sumptious, soft, and silky, this one's for you. I found it almost too tame.
A very musty but sweet first impression. Light fruits and herbal.
Firm body with all the nuts wrapped in sweetness, more pepper and a peaty touch. Malty vanilla. Oak tannins and a bit chewy near the end.
Medium finish, sweet, light soot and chewy.
