Maybe that's because of the batch. Was my first "Nikka From The Barrel" and probably my last.

The malt starts with a beautiful candied lemon peel. Then some honey, sultana and toffee.
When warming up, a slight glue note (probably due to the grain content) appears, but this does not bother you.
Spicier than expected.
Mineral with light fruitiness and sweet grain.
There was a slight grain note on the nose, which can be tasted clearly on the tongue.
The alcohol is palpable.
The oak comes to the fore.
Men's chocolate 80%.
The tongue becomes slightly furry from the bitter note.
The finish is not particularly long, but the bitterness lingers in the mouth for a while.
