  1. Wolfe Tone scored this whisky 96 points Expert Senior

Amazing stuff from Glenfarclas, and used to be quite affordable as well.
    • Nose
Very complex and rich; big sherry, big age, big character but ever so elegant. Oak polish, leather, cedar wood cigar boxes show the age of this in a beautiful way. Then the sweet sherry takes hold and we get a complex and rich combination of chocolate orange, blackcurrant marmalade, butterscotch, prunes, raisin, roasted coffee and molasses. Then it’s on to the spices, with pepper and some tobacco.
    • Taste
Rich and intense and typical Glenfarclas. Dried fruits, chocolate raisins, dates, figs, orange peel, all the big sherry flavours are present. Then spices and thick espresso coffee as well as some of the marmelade again.
    • Finish
Finish is long and rich, with oak of course, but also some chocolate, walnut and almond. Drying, but never gets to dry or tannic. Magnificent stuff. I could just smell this all day without even drinking it.
