Left me with mixed feelings. A very ripe whisky with great notes, but it also brings a lot of extraordinary things with it, which sometimes takes getting used to.
    I like the finish best.
    • Nose
      87 87
First comes some wax and then very quickly a tart citrus fruit. Develops into lemon. Minimal peat flashes through. The lemon is wrapped in a cloud of "all-purpose floor cleaner". Sawdust and cream candy gain the upper hand.
A constant change accompanies the nosing and makes some aromas simply not tangible. Alcohol is only noticeable in the form of a solvent note. I'm torn.
    • Taste
      88 88
The start is strong and the alcohol comes out strong. The lemon becomes more complex and changes to grapefruit and light grape notes. The floor cleaner is gone, but the floor wax note comes through stronger. The fruits get stronger at some point. Now go in the direction of orange. Always accompanied by an unobtrusive "bitter herbaceousness".
    • Finish
      90 90
The finish lasts forever and is very tasty. Sawdust and wax lay on the roof of the mouth and have come to stay.
