    Good surprise, a beautiful nose. By cons, where is the peat?
    • Nose
      Creamy, slightly smoky, especially exotic fresh fruit (pineapple, passion), lemon and orange zest, spices (cumin, white pepper), very nice nose!
    • Taste
      Alcohol well integrated, slightly creamy, just the sugar it takes. Very little smoke but a little ashes, plum brandy. Fine peppered mouth. Better with water, more fruity and creamy.
    • Finish
      quite short, surprising despite the 62.8% ... Power of alcohol and spices

    Pleasant nose, ham I can not find, rather peaty smoke. Sherry, but more in the taste than in the nose. Good for water. Smoke is stronger in taste than in the nose. Nice medium-long aftertaste, not bitter at all.
    I thought the Indians can only with computer. Where did they get their peat from?
    2. times) Pur I actually taste better than with water. Much sweeter, the smoke blends well with it. Pur, the aftertaste is also much more persistent. 87th

    Blind tasting.
    • Nose
      Peat, ashes, meaty and smoked ham. Fruity, cactus, minty, pastry and citrus. Very sophisticated citrus and fruity notes in this Amrut.
    • Taste
      Leather, oily, fruity and peat. Later ashes and coconut.
    • Finish
      Medium drying, fruity, vanilla, some smoke and syrup. Orange peel and bitter like a bitter beer.

    It's OK but I have to say that I like both the older (more heavily) peated batch 13 and the simultaneously released regular cask strength (batch 66) better. The sulphur, although not extreme, is a bit disturbing in the taste of this one. Still a decent whisky though.
    • Nose
      Peat, toffee, red paprika powder, milk chocolate, cayenne pepper, sulphur, malt, whipped cream, vanilla, peach and a whiff of cow pat.
    • Taste
      Peat, pepper, toffee, peach, salami and sulphur.
    • Finish
      Peat, toffee and dark chocolate.
