  2. Torfding scored this whisky 80 points Expert Senior

Without corners and edges and so good to drink, but not the special.
    • Nose
warm apple, dry and sweetly sweet fruits, salty lemon water, old loft (with wooden slats)
    • Taste
thin, orange, salt and sugar, oak, some chocolate, a bit malty, a pinch of cinnamon
    • Finish
short to medium length; dry and spicy, some fruit, a hint of smoke, followed by a slight bitterness

  3. Monsieur Dram scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

This Oban Little Bay disappointed me a bit. I felt a little cheated on the goods. The nose is really well done, consistent, balanced and rich. On the other hand, everything collapses in the mouth and this dram becomes a little rough. Pity ! Available for about 70 €, you will certainly find better;)
    • Nose
it's pretty pretty at first. Notes of apple / pear / banana compote with some caramel. It seems sweet enough without being sickening, with hints of honey, vanilla and egg cream. It's also very fresh, with nice notes of mint, cut grass, lemon and orange. Notes also announce the arrival of a slightly drier pan, especially with nutty notes. The whole is sprinkled with sweet spices like cinnamon. To sum up, this nose is very fresh, with some fruit, citrus and spices. Classic but effective.
    • Taste
delicate and not very powerful. The texture is a little light for my taste. The freshness of the nose is completely dominated by the dryness of malt and spices. It's almost a bit bitter, with notes tending toward the wood. There are still some slightly acid fruits like the green apple. Vegetable notes, also quite present, do not arrange the disturbing dryness of the mouth. We guess a little softness in the background, by wave, with notes of honey, but it is very light. Pity.
    • Finish
short and not very intense, dry on vegetal, malty and woody notes. It almost feels like a veil of smoke in the background. We still have a pleasant freshness in the mouth.
