Whisky Reviews for Bain's Cape Mountain Whisky
3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 81.40 points
- Really decent for the price. A nice vanilla on the nose a bit of not unpleasant solvent. Butterscotch in the development and into finish. A bit of not unpleasant alcohol astringency in the finish. I would buy again.
- Tastes surprisingly similar to an Irish blend, such as Wild Geese's "Untamed".
- Had it blind, was certain it was a blended whisky because I could really imagine some maltiness in it (that's when you realize you're a no-brainer). Definitely a good drinking whisky this one. Could definitely poor another one if I had one.

Really closed to start with. Fruity and vanilla sweetness, soft citrus, lemon-fudge, creamy grain, some low quality milk chocolate (found in christmas calendars). Mixed spices and coconut.
The arrival is mild with slightly sour apple and develops towards sweet licorice and vanilla.
The finish is short and grainy with sweet licorice and black pepper far back on the tongue together with dry coconut flakes.
