- Limited Edition 2007; A mature, complex top malt!
Lemon, menthol, wood smoke, coal, vanilla;
full, oily, salty onset, aromatic smoke, tar, iodine, licorice, licorice, cereals, malt, aromatic, complex;
long, warming, peppery; in the finish maritime, salty;
- A real Islay.
Hints of light vanilla sweetness, lovely strong Islay notes: sea-salt sea-wind , peat and smoke.
Oaky vanilla, again the peat and smoke, sweet afternotes. Lovely
Long and very nice. It comes all together.
- Love this release and find similarity to the first batch. Either way it comes, it`s incredible. I agree with alectron, http://www.ardbegproject.com is great for facts. It is also a good gauge to check bottles authenticity if your purchasing online.
- Airigh Nam Beist 1990 is a delicious vintage bottling from the ongoing
success story that is Ardbeg. Sadly now discontinued due to exhausted
stocks, `the Beist` was an extremely popular Ardbeg, with assertive and
powerful peatiness and a lovely honeyed edge. Oh, and it`s pronounced
`Arry nam Baysht`.
- Most people know, but since this is simply wrong on here and people start citing it as fact - there is no `Batch 02` of ANB!
There have been multiple bottling runs in 2007, and judging by the time difference inbetween, these are most likely from different vatting runs as well.
