    A good Whisky.

I would recommend adding some drops of water (not too much).

Especially the palate opens up then.

For the price a real good dram.
    • Nose
Peatsmoke, smoked ham, brine and lemon juice (also in combination).

Chocolate-raisiny sweetness, som spiced marmalade and pepper.

Wet rocks, hints of seaweed, phenolic and medicinal hints of smoke, some ailing wood, workbench.

Slightly alcoholic citrus fruits, BBQ sauce, tart almond paste, smoked meat, charcoal fire smoke.

Hints of golden Tequila and cinnamon, wine vinegar, suede bag, sweet and smoked malt.

Cornflakes, campfire, some freshness of a lemon cake, briney chocolate.

With water: Sweet pear, dark quince jelly, faint hints of vanilla, some nutmeg, sour-salty Grapefruit juice. More sweetness and slightly more roundness.
    • Taste
Sweetness, sour and salty (Lemonjuice and citrus peel in salt water), peatsmoke, tart pepper (woody), peated malt, smoked ham, some salt, oily.

Hints of raisins, tart (and old) citrus, charcoal fire smoke, fiery, pinecones, faint hints of forest aromas (needles, branches, ...).

With water: Fruit sweetness, quince jelly, pear juice, more open now, malt, smoke is getting a little more subtle, burnt wood, more roundness now, more sweetness.
    • Finish
Brine, sea spray, pepper, tart woodiness, slightly sweet peatsmoke, some chocolaty notes, something rough (maybe because of the youth?), smoked ham, medium-long, almond-marzipan paste, freshness of citrus fruits, bacon, salt.

      With water:

Hints of Sherry casks now, tart citrus, some apple, chocolate, malty sweetness, slightly dry, more soft now, oily, almond paste.

Sometimes the sweetness in the finish is quite heavy.
