Thanks to karloff for this sample.
This was readily available and one of the malts I really enjoyed when I started drinking whisky in the -90's... before Glenmorangie went all haute couture.
The "change" can likely not be blamed on the crew at the visitor center, so I didn't tell the dressed up pretty young girls telling me the distillery history that "I'm old enough to remember when you did things right."

What a bowl of fruit punch!
Sweet nectarine juice, lightly bitter orange zest.
Even some tropical notes bobbing about.
Hint of vanilla pastry, with powdered suger.
A touch of old wood with modest spice.
      It screams "drink me".

Not quite as expressive as the nose, not as fruity fresh.
But it's good none the less.
Milk chocolate. Bread crust. More malty.

I would not mind if it had been a little longer, but do I not wish that for every whisky I enjoy?
The richer notes from the palate meets up with the more fresh notes from the nose. A bit of sweetness as well as that bitter orange re-emerges.
