Every time I drink this kind of bottle whose distillery style is concealed by the sherry barrel, I feel a pity. If it hadn't been delayed by the whisky lake, it would have been bottled ten or eight years earlier.
    • Nose
You can tell the style by the color, the kind of weird, milky, slightly woody pre-75 heavy sherry. Without looking at the label, it is hard to tell the difference between it and the best TMD and GM longmorn. The advantage is that the body is very good, with plenty of milky aroma and orange peel, excellent oiliness, a little bit of grain, and that's all the winery's genes are left. The peat is a little bit of mothballs, the oil floating in the brine hot pot, the herbs are not bitter or pungent, only a light plant freshness, very little tannin, not like the 30+ barrel, much more pleasant than the OB Millennium that is diluted to 46abv. There is nothing to say about the sherry, a lot of black fruit jam, with syrup, dried longan, strawberry jam, blueberry jam, not very sweet, but very thick, with a light sour taste.
    • Taste
It tastes like a 30+ year old wine, with more burnt wood, fruit cores, longan shells, compound licorice, and herbal bitterness. There are very few tannins, and the fruit flavor has become a little flat, but it is still very sweet overall, with caramel, brown sugar, and some salty and fragrant oils.
    • Finish
Long, dry tobacco, spent grape pomace, buckwheat, mochi bread balls.
