- Laphroaig Tasting Notes:
Colour: Sparkling gold
Nose: Huge smoke, seaweed, a hint of sweetness
Taste: Islay peat smoke, full and earthy, tangy salt laden air, an echo of sweetness at the end
Finish: Long and unforgettable
Coastal flavors and roasted nuts in combination with peat smoke, candied fruits, milk chocolate and vanilla.
Initially sweet fruits and metallic acidity. Then phenolic smoke, nuts, spices like cloves and pepper and some dryness.
Medium-long and dry finish with slight bitterness and smoke flavor.
- Balance is pretty good. Excellent aroma, taste is a bit rough but finish is nice.
Medium peated, light iodide, ripe apples, raisins, salt, seaweed, old wood, wet earth/leaves, faint honey and apple flowers.
Heavy salty, medium acrid, faint sweet.
Finish is a bit short. Acrid, salty, peaty, iodide and medicine, earth, basement, faint hints of flowers.
