  1. Tom na Gruagaich scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

A nice old but lively dram that isn't entirely convincing on a high level. Noticeably not from the present. But the Medeira barrel also shows one or two weaknesses. A nice old dram nonetheless.
    • Nose
Initially reserved on the nose. That's definitely the 43%. Sweetness, honey, fine fruits, more like compote and slightly fermented
A subtle winey note that is unfortunately a bit dull. Lots of honey again and a light oak note.
    • Taste
Surprisingly strong in the mouth. Spicy, fruity. tingly. Subtle sour wine and some sweet wood. Amazingly mouth-filling. Feels a little drier on the second sip.
    • Finish
The finish is medium, more herbal at first. Then sweet fruit and some wine. Then at the end it's rather dry, peppery with wood and a very subtle soapiness.
