At first, I was quite disappointed by this bottle, but it grew on me as the level went down. Maybe a bit of oxidation or just me getting to know it better. I don't know which.

A few drops of water actually release some furniture polish notes that will disappear with even more water.

I prefer it with quite a bit of water and then letting it settle in the glass.

Pistachio, chocolate, Amaretto, furniture polish (will subside with enough water)
    • Taste

Floral, espresso, tiramisu, mazarine cake, candied fruit, furniture polish again (will disappear with enough water), excellent sweet/sour balance.

There's an obvious "green" note on the base of the palate, I attribute that to the unmalted barley, though I'm not sure. But it's a note I never get from Scotch malt whiskey.

Quite long for a 12 yo, orange oil, chocolate, coffee notes linger
