    not quite as phenolic/peat smoke exposed as the Moine. Also not as ashy and sherry-aromatic as the Toiteach a Dha.
    He's trying to somehow manage the balancing act between the two. And yet I have more complexity in Toiteach a Dha.
    It's not bad, but it doesn't blow my mind either.
    [86 - 82 = good whisky -> get (second) bottle? Maybe...]
    • Nose
      primarily salty-maritime aroma, seaweed, phenolic (slightly sweet) peat smoke.
      Behind this there is a note of citrus and orange with a little acidity, but only minimally.
      If I can manage to hide the peat aromas, I still get an earthy note from the forest floor and a pine note.
      With a few drops of water:
      the peat smoke now appears dry and ashy with some remaining embers. A sparkling citrus note is more tangible.
      If he stands a bit, he gets a plastic touch; but it's not bad, because the peat smoke irons most of it away.
    • Taste
      Spicy start, but immediately turns into a creamy-viscous consistency, salivation begins. The peat smoke is present again, the fear note is not really noticeable.
      I hear bitter notes of dark chocolate and coffee grounds.
      With water: it becomes drier, but the mouthfeel is no longer as creamy and viscous.
      Second sip: spicy again, peppery spiciness. The peat is now more left behind and the maritime note of seaweed comes through more (that could also be the plastic note from my nose).
    • Finish
      the maritime note and the salty sea air remain for quite a long time. The dry ash comes into its own when exhaled through the nose.
