Inchgower 14 years old Flora and Fauna 43%. Consumed June 2020. Pleasantly pale with no signs of caramel. Aroma is pineapple cube sweets, crystalline and tropical. This malt would be beautiful in a blend - it brings my mind back to some of the best Johnnie Walker Red special editions. Reminds me of fruit salad sweets from childhood. Also some polished metal and plastic toys. Lovely nose - interesting. Taste is barley notes, some hot spirit, plenty of oak, pretty crunchy hard barley and some tropical notes, certainly has a lot of hard barley bready bite. Has a beautiful nose but for me some of these classic Speysiders suit being in a blend with a touch of grain whisky, just to take the edge off that bready barley 'hardness'. Worth trying for sure and this is a very pleasant bottling but based on my impressions of the type of spirit produced, I'm not convinced I'd be interested in other examples of Inchgower 3.55/85
