Well for a 40% whisky this is about as good as it gets.
    Beautiful stuff
I cannot even begin to imagine how good this would be at 50% but the lower strength suits this whisky, one to savour for hours no off notes, superb.
This is the sort of whisky I adore, so elegant.

Great stuff, elegant , not overpowering but just lovely on the nose.
Faint whiffs of ginger, then some caramel, fence oil (cannot remember the specific name but I have some), pine cones, wet grass, cigar smoke and chocolate biscuits.

I thought the palate might lag the excellent nose but it is in step.
Lovely mouthfeel, creamy with a few orange notes, fresh cream, great sherry balance, not heavy and lets the distillery profile shine.
There is some nice spice on show here mixing with a little oatmeal before the sherry comes back and what a sherry this is.

Good length not dry in any way, remaining sweet and slightly spicy
