  1. dram-drinker scored this whisky 49 points Connoisseur

Ah, this is not one for the road but one from the road (spilled and put back into the bottle - no waste!) and I like it even less than Dr. Pepper Vanilla Cherry - my score went also down the drain - let's go back to real scotch
    • Nose
      79 79
Vanilla, butterscotch, little tarry, seabreeze, iodine, seaweed, little medicinal, little peach and banana, honey, meaty hints, some smoked ham and bacon too, some vanilla coke - I don't like butterscotch too much
    • Taste
      49 49
Oily, creamy, little punchy, subtle sweetness, little tarry again and then plain leather and sulphur
    • Finish
      19 19
More leathery and sulphur - yak!

  2. Thermidor scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

A simple dram, enjoyable but not among the top Elements bottlings.
    • Nose
Acidic fino-like sherry, and familiar Caol Ila peat and salt. Smells maritime, but the sherry feels separate from the whole. Tarmac, waxed fruit, tar cola candy, madeira.
    • Taste
Sweet and well sherried, but sadly the sherry feels like a separate layer from the peat and smoke. Water brings some mushrooms (like you can find in port wine), but loosens the body too much to my liking.
    • Finish
      Short, abrupt, tarry and sweet.
