The nose is lovely, the palate and finish cannot match it, but the nose is so good so easy to see why :)

Really god, various sweet pastries, vanilla custard, some floral notes, caramels, Ecclefechan tarts ( I love them), brioche currant buns, very faint hints of the marmalade and a touch of lemon.
So subtle, so refined, a nose form the past, glorious

The palate is quite creamy and a little chewy with some nice spice notes , caramels, hot buttered toast, and hints of black pepper.
The peat and pepper are faint, but definately there mixing with a taste not unlike the best Spanish caramel vodka (heavy on the caramel).
    • Finish
      90 90
      Not that long remaining sweet
