You can drink it because of the pronounced drying of the mouth tempting you to drink it again, even if the taste doesn't necessarily give it away. But the more you give him time, the better he gets.

First, shoe polish is on the nose. Then it becomes fruity with lemon and tangerine, vanilla appears, then spices. Becomes sweeter and more pleasant, but definitely needs time in the glass to develop its aromas.
    • Taste
      85 85
Immediately again shoe polish, then chocolate and spices. Alcohol included acceptable
    • Finish
      84 84
Medium length finish with spices and light oak. Later shoe polish again. Very mouth drying ..

At first, somewhat closed. Sweet pastries, blackcurrant jam, dried apricots, prunes, creamy toffee, wood dust, delicate notes of the carpentry workshop. 21
    • Taste
      83 83
Medium-bodied, moderately sweet. A bit harsh. Black pepper, cinnamon and other spices, green apple, creamy caramel, unripe fruits, woody tannins, herbal bitterness. 21
    • Finish
      83 83
Medium in length, smoothly decaying, tannic. 21
The aroma takes time to develop, the taste is a little "rough", but it is still a very pleasant, tasty whiskey. Balance 20

It’s all a bit too unpronounced in character for my taste. It’s very sweet (almost to sweet) and the flavours of the port cask are there as hints. When you add a little water it becomes quite bitter and the fruity aromas fade away. It’s not bad or uninteresting. It’s even easy to drink.

All in all not my kind of whiskey.

    • Nose
A delicate, fresh, sweet and balanced whiskey with aromas of honey, red fruits, grains, floral tones, apple, pear, apricot, pineapple, overripe peach, vanilla, raspberries, rhubarb, earthy tones (wet leafs), ripe prunes, maple syrup, citrus tones (a little lemon and orange) and a hint of oak.
    • Taste
A subtle, soft, sweet and herbal whiskey with aromas of honey, maple syrup, apple, pepper, pear, lemon, apricots, sugar, muesli, green herbs (mainly bay leaf), vanilla, fresh backed cake, confectionery sweets, a hint of caramel, bitter almond, cereals, malt, hint of mint and a faint oak tone.

A medium and sweet finish with aromas of homey, sugar, vanilla, apple, pear, hint of tannins, raspberries and a a hint of oak.

Tyrconnell 10 Year Port following a period time in American oak barrels have matured,
the Tyrconnell 10 year postage and finish in port casks located.
With its copper color is a beauty of a whiskey.
In mouth it is soft with rich fruit, honey and herbs in the taste with a
    nice long lasting oak finish
