The PLV of this bottle is clearly outstanding. Such a well-made 25 for this money (245EUR) should force other distilleries to THINK. Sure, that's not cheap, but whoever tested it ... immediately feels (tastes) that I did everything right.
It's a great feeling and that's why I have two of them.
    • Nose
After the tasting you know for sure that the nose is the best part. There it is this sherry that has always been known from good bottles. There are matches coming through that simulate the smoke. I like it a lot. This also simulates a fine tobacco scent at the same time. After a short time it starts with apricots, raisins, caramel and orange plus peel. Now the apple. It slowly becomes more mature, juicy and sweeter. That goes up to baked apple. No alcohol, no annoying notes or smells.
Arrived in whisky heaven. Respect Glengoyne.
    • Taste
You know immediately. Here a down-to-earth well-made 25er appears! So powerful and incredibly thick on the tongue. Typical raisins on dark chocolate with the finest marzipan and always juicy ripe berries behind. Now the wort comes through clearly from the barrels. An exotic spice program with cedar wood, cinnamon, ginger, etc.! "mercado de especias"
Do you have to swallow it? ....do not want :-)
    • Finish
As expected, long and recurring. Here, too, a "delicate" but pleasant bitterness is clearly Cafe-Bar Espresso. That's the way it has to be. Typical orange dark chocolate with all kinds of dried fruits. Stay ... come back, stay ...... a dream!
