The collaboration and joint venture between the US technology company Alltech and the Irish Carlow Brewing Company (better known as O'Hara's) led in November 2012 to the project of a small distillery in the county of Carlow. The stills are now in Dublin at the Pearse Lyons distillery. Classic copper pot stills, custom-made for the distillery by the Vendome Copper & Brass Works in Louisville, Kentucky, were transferred from their County Carlow location to the site.
