About North Port

North Port is a single malt Scotch whisky brand named after the former North Port Distillery in Brechin, Angus, in the Eastern Highlands. Also known historically as North Port-Brechin, the distillery was founded in the early 19th century and produced whisky mainly for blending, with only a small number of official single malt bottlings. It was closed in 1983 during a wave of industry closures, and the site has since been redeveloped. Remaining stocks are rare and typically appear through limited official releases or independent bottlers.
