About MaltMartyr:

Chicago area native.  Appreciates bourbon for its differences from Single Malt; it helps others.  A bottle allows more time to understand; yet, a sample may be enough. Scoring:  95-100: Exquisite, Balance with enduring qualities; ingrained in my memory. Some are outliers.  90-95: Excellent to Outstanding, a well balanced whisk(e)y with pronounced notes that are appreciated in memory. 80-89: Very Drinkable, I'd buy a bottle, or six, depending upon the price or score, the flavor; very approachable in my memory. Bottles more likely to get drained. 70-79: Drinkable, but "average" drinkability; best in a cocktail. Occasionally, a misdirected craving, but reckoning. If I rate a bottle below 70, then it's avoided! 60-69: Only fit for die hard distillery fans without a conscience. 'Low benchmarks' and experimentation for the distillery.   Below 60: It' shouldn't have been bottled.  Some may have special taste buds; arguably an acquired taste that I lack.  These expressions have a pronounced, yet unforgivable defect, to me, but some find different defects good.
