About Bademeister:

My Tasting Ratings

95-100 Once in Livetime Experience
90-94 Exceptional ! (must have's)
87-89 Very Good (recommended bottle buy)
83-86 Good (would buy if price-value is ok)
78-82 Fair (but would not buy)
71-77 Subpar (not my taste)
60-70 Bad (would not drink again)
< 60 Disgusting ( do avoid !)

My Whisky rating is based on my enjoyment of a dram. It's representing my very subjective taste profile. In other words how much I did like a taste of a Whisky. My rate doesn't necessarily say how well made or complex or value for money or limited a dram is. Because I tasted exceptional well made  malts which regardless do not meet my taste. And had very good malt experiences from uncomplicated or young drams. I also try not to take other people's opinion or the price into the account of my score.

A lot people do rate most of the Whisky between 80 and 92. That range feels too narrow for me to differentiate. For that reasons the range of my tasted Whisky has a wider range and is mostly between 70 and 95.

I do score 75-80 for an average experience. That is far from a bad Whisky. To me a bad experience is 70's and below. 80 is my benchmark for a good 'daily' malt and where the fun begins with. And 90+ are simply outstanding malt experiences !

My Ticklist collect what i think are excellent malt value for money regards 'daily drum' whiskies at the time of purchase.
