About MaltMartyr:

Chicago area native.  Appreciates bourbon as a distinct beverage unlike Single Malt.  A bottle allows more time to understand; yet, a sample may be enough. Scoring:  95-100: Exquisite, Balance with extreme enduring qualities; ingrained in my memory. Some are outliers with unrepeatable aging.  90-95: Excellent to Outstanding, a well balanced whisk(e)y with pronounced notes that are appreciated in memory most likely to get drained or cherished too long, likely 'a deuce buy' if not a six pack depending upon value. 85-89: Excellent to Exceptional, I'd buy a few bottles, or six, depending upon the price and the flavor; 80-84 Very good in my memory; purchase depends upon whether a good value. 70-79: 'adam average,' but likely best in the right cocktail, never a purchase. If a bottle is below 80, then it's avoided! 60-69: Only fit for die hard distillery fans without a conscience; not me! Some may have special taste buds; arguably, an acquired taste that I lack.  Expressions under 70 have a pronounced, yet unforgivable defect, to me, but some find different defects good.
