About 400mike:

Some thoughts on whisky, subjective of course, don't take it seriously :)

The Brora OB's (excl. RM): The 2006 & 2007 are the best ones. Not the 2004...

Brora from the 80s is highly underrated.

Mortlach should get more attention. Dirty & delicious.

Kilkerran is damn good. Lagavulin isn't. Age & wood matters, colour doesn't.

Bruichladdich 15, first edition. My first love. Pure, no flaws.

People buy whisky with their eyes.

Clynelish Prestonfield 8912, the best whisky I have ever tried. No Ardbeg 74, no Samaroli Springbank, or any Karuizawa can beat it. Perhaps one or two bottlings from the old Clynelish comes close.

Alcohol is a silent killer. The liver won't let you know until it's too late.

Celebration of 170.000 bottles in Whiskybase

Growing the Whiskybase platform and going through our celebration moments each milestone, this time another 10.000 bottles added to Whiskybase. We managed to grow to 170.000 bottles and it is time to reveal a new bottle to our members. A 11-year-old Ledaig from a hogshead selected for Whiskybase members. Something for the peatheads. One to sip, not to flip!

Whiskybase is founded in 2007 with the goal to create the biggest resource of whisky information in the world. A community driven website built by and for whisky enthusiasts.
