    Quick review. Whisky calendar 2.12.

A bit rough, but age and price considered it's not too bad.
    • Nose
      82 82
Obviously young, but with the vintage given it's not like they try to hide it.
Not sure about what type of Oloroso casks that have been used here. This is definitely no sherry bomb and the colour is quite light as well.
There's some wood notes, but those as well are more "youngish" than sherry saturated, there's actually a hint of vanilla to it.
Not bad, but it would not take much to find a more interesting 'farclas nose.
    • Taste
      80 80
Again the age, or lack there of is obvious.
Quite alcoholic, spicy, almost hot and aggressive on arrival, but it calms quickly.
And as it calms orange chocolate and coffee develop.
There are some nice flavours in there, but they would have been more prominent and enjoyable with less alc. even if it's just 46%.
There's not much room to experiment with water in a 2cl.
    • Finish
      82 82
A bit short of medium in length.
The finish starts of with too much tannic bitterness in my opinion, but as that fades it leaves a rather nice sweet orange at the end.
