Elegant and perfectly matured Laphroaig without any faulty notes. Nevertheless I prefer the younger more brutal Laphroaigs, like the Whisky-Doris 2010 that I tasted immediately before.

Less powerful and peated than the Whisky-Doris Laphroaig that I tried immediately before. More on citric, lemony notes, also lemon cake with vanilla, a little ginger and a decent but delicate peatyness.

Warming and now the peat is more powerful than on the nose with an additional dusty earthyness and camphor. Nevertheless it stays elegant and very tasty with notes of sweet lemonade, honey and white pepper.

Long, smooth, clean and pleasant with the peaty notes lingering on and the finish becoming more and more peppery.
