Laphroaig

Laphroaig is a single malt Scotch whisky brand produced at the Laphroaig Distillery on the southern coast of Islay. Founded in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston, it is renowned for its heavily peated style, often described as medicinal and maritime due to its smoky, briny, and iodine-like character. The distillery still operates traditional floor maltings, providing a portion of its own malted barley, and matures its whisky primarily in ex-bourbon casks. Now owned by Beam Suntory, Laphroaig offers a core range of age-stated and non-age-stated whiskies, along with annual limited editions.
