Here we have one of my favourite distilleries with one of their best core range offerings. This is an NAS bottling and that seems to bug some people, but I just think Laphroaig made a work of art witht his one.

Great nose. Very Laphroaig-y, with those typical wood, bandaid and campfire notes. God, this smells good.

Again, very recognizable as a Laphroaig, but with some (sherry) sweetness that really adds to the distillery style. This has good viscosity and is noticably 'thicker' than some of the other core range offerings. The 48% ABV probably has something to do with that. It's very drinkable and full.

Good finish. Relatively sweet.
