Lochside

Lochside is a rare single malt Scotch whisky brand sourced from the now-closed Lochside distillery in Montrose, Angus, which operated from 1957 until 1991. Initially established to supply malt for blends, the distillery issued only a handful of official single malt bottlings before its closure, and the stills were demolished in 2005. Today, Lochside releases appear almost exclusively via independent bottlers in limited, cask-strength editions, offering collectors a scarce glimpse of East Highland whisky character. As a defunct distillery brand, Lochside exemplifies the role of independent bottlers in preserving and celebrating lost Scotch malts.
